The property management company that manages condos in Palais Verdes says there’s a big difference between a dupox and a duplet home.
The condo management company, which owns the Palais Verses in Palomar, says its real estate team has reviewed properties across the city, and found that most duplexes are not duplex units.
They say duplex owners should check the condo’s title to see if the units are duplex, rather than duplex apartments.
It’s important to note that duplexs are subject to the Residential Tenancies Act and have no built-in privacy features.
Duplex units typically have two bedrooms, two bathrooms and no separate kitchen.
But many duplex homes have an additional bedroom, a shared living area and shared garage.
A duplex is defined as a detached structure with two or more units, which are not connected by a common living space or kitchen.
In other words, it’s a small duplex unit that’s attached to a larger unit that is separate from the common area.
If you see a dupplex, the best way to identify it is by looking for the red line on the exterior of the building that says duplex.
