Windermire Real Estate, Inc. announced Monday that it will purchase the property that will become its newest office building.
The announcement comes after Windermiere received a $20 million loan from New York City’s Capital Development Corporation (CDC) and is moving forward with a multi-million dollar renovation project at the former W.G. & Brown property.

The new building will be a 25,000 square foot, 2,000-square foot office building with a ground-floor restaurant and an additional 1,500 square feet of retail space.
The company plans to occupy the new building for up to 25 years.
The construction of the building was a major priority for Windermires owners, according to the company’s CEO, Matt T. Lacey.
The project includes a new, redesigned and expanded reception area that will open next to the current restaurant, with an expanded bar, a wine and beer room, and a newly designed fitness room.
According to the Windmillers, the new space will also be open to other tenants and other businesses.
The Windermreys will begin construction of their new office building in the fall of 2018.
Todays announcement came on the same day that Windermores president and CEO Matt Lacey announced that Windy Mountain Realty LLC, Windermirretown Real Estate LLC, and Windermiste Properties Inc. have been formed.TODAY’S STORIES:The real estate giant plans to invest $15 million in the project.
The company will be led by New York-based executive and managing partner Brian S. Sauer, a former senior vice president at Fannie Mae, which bought Windermair in 2013.
The partnership will use the windmill as a focal point for the new office and hotel.
The office will be located at 890 E. 7th Street in downtown Albuquerque.
The building is located at the corner of East 7th and East 7 Streets in the heart of downtown.
